Materials
Untreated larch, nailed rather than glued, with a 5mm slatted base. Larch and cedar are the two timbers durable enough to use untreated around plants; anything else needs a preservative and then you have a preservative in your seed compost.
Care
Scrub them out at the end of the season and let them dry. They will go silver-grey, which is what happens to larch and does not affect anything. Stack them somewhere with air movement over winter.
